What Happens in Your First Visit?
We’ll sit down and talk. You’ll tell me what got you to counseling and I’ll answer any questions you have. Relaxed conversation, with no judgments on anything you share with me. You will relax even more when you realize I have been where you are and with God’s help & guidance have overcome alcohol, drug and tobacco addictions.
Problems with alcohol such as Occasional overuse? Been there. Binge drinking? Been there. Marriage problems? Been there. Prescription drug abuse & dependence? Been there. Street drugs? Been there. Addicted to tobacco? Been there too. Codependency? Been there as well. Overwhelmed by stress and anxiety? Yes. Lost a marriage? Yes. Rescued a second marriage? Yes and from this I have been married to a wonderful, sober lady for more than three decades.
Assessing Your Situation, Problems and Needs
You will have your problem thoroughly assessed so you will know what kind and how much treatment you require. Some of the assessments are so short we’ll complete them in 5 minutes or less. Others are longer. These assessments will help raise your self awareness and will help me in developing a Personal Treatment Plan for and with you.
Your Personal Treatment Plan will not be a ‘cookie cutter’ plan, as is used so often in treatment centers, hospitals and still by many counselors in private practice. Because I have taken the time and energy to become Certified in areas critical to reaching and maintaining sobriety, your Treatment Plan will be unique to you. And you will take part in what goes in and what does not go in your Personal Treatment Plan.
As we complete your assessments and you begin sharing your story with me, you will benefit from my real world recovery experiences, and extensive clinical knowledge & experience. You will learn tools and develop skills that will change your life for the better. You will experience kind, patient, nonjudgmental alcohol and drug counseling in a positive, private, relaxing atmosphere. Get your life back on course – starting today. Call or text me right now 713-906-2221 and let’s get started. I promise you’ll be glad you took this first step toward freedom from you .
